The act of kayaking is pretty much similar to canoeing, but the difference lies in the position of the paddler and the number of blades that are present in the paddle.

#7 The international record for the world’s highest waterfall drop in a kayak was recorded in the year 2009 by a US-based extreme kayaker, Tyler Bradt. The waterfall was 189 feet tall.

Weather Conditions:

Experienced travelers can cope with the changing climatic conditions, but it will be difficult for a first timer to manage the changing weather conditions. The weather conditions can get so worse that it might capsize the boat and the first timer might not know how to survive. It is a matter of surviving, so it is important that you have an eye on the weather conditions.

Take necessary precautions:

The safety of the traveler is of paramount importance. Along with the fun and thrill that you experience it is important that you take care of all the precautionary measure. So not dare to take the sea if you are a sea-sick person. Make sure you travel along with someone at least for the first few times. All remember to carry a medical kit. Remember to carry a floatation device.

Have an escape plan:

Always have an escape plan. It is important that you have a plan to escape when you are kayaking. So have an alternate plan in head. If you route seems to be tough and dangerous, instead of panicking, be prepared to take a different route and ensure your safety.

Keep people informed:  

At least for the first few times, it is important that you take someone along with you. Always keep someone informed when you are traveling. Move along with a device to contact people in case of emergency. Always remember your safety is of paramount importance.
